The Planets in the astrology
The planets are not only important for the horoscope. Every planet has its own nature and character, that will be described more detailed in this section. The planets are yearly regents, that means, every planet stands for a year and is in a way like a 'patron', but also influences with its quality.
You can calculate the regent of the year yourself. Divide the year by seven (7 planets). The result of the remainder shows the planet that reigns the respective year.. For example if you take 1991, the calculation would be :
1991:7 = 284, remainder 3. The number 3 stands for Mercury. So 1991 was a Mercury Year.
The birthplanet is the planet which, at the moment of birth of a human being (or an animal), rises at the eastern horizon.
